Of all the holidays Christians celebrate in our time I stand in amazement of how well the god of this world has been so successful at blinding so many of God's people on what is truly the most spectacular event to happen to man since paradise. (Granted he's had a coupl'a thousand years to cover it up but make no mistake. For the most part he... the god of this world... has been very successful.) No, it's not Passover or "Christmas" (pagan, cough) or "Easter" (pagan, cough, cough) These last two at least do bring to mind one necessity that was required of man's saviour. He had to be in this realm to accomplish the work God gave him through His Word. (duuuh!) He was born and he died. But is there more to what this completed mission made available to mankind other than being saved? Yes! What was the occasion? Pentecost!!! No! Not the denomination silly! :) On the day of Pentecost, 50 days after Jesus of Nazareth was crucified (the Passover) it became available to be born again. To receive "power from on high." To become sons and daughters of the creator of the heavens (the spiritual realm) and the earth (the physical realm). To become a member of what the Scriptures refer to as "the Church of God." A new, 3rd classification of humans. That is only available during this period of time we live in today called The Grace Administration. Initiated on this Pentecost! Before Pentecost God classified people as Hebrew/Judean or Gentile. (Yeah your bible says "Jew." The word should've been translated "Judean" but by the time it came around to the days of the King James translation, that part of the world's population's minds were already saturated with the shortened useage. And... as like today... mistakenly referred to the Caucasian-like people occupying Israel today. On a side note... Rocky outta put that book "The 13th Tribe" in the Trading Stump...)
This was a mystery that the prophets of old could see in the scriptures but could not solve. They knew something was there from their study of God's Word they had at the time, recorded in scrolls... but couldn't see what it was. A mystery so big even the angels desired to know! Hidden in God... for ages... before creation itself!... until now! The result of the accomplished work of Jesus Christ! 50 days after the resurrection, 10 days after the ascension. The mystery revealed in the practical sense but not understood doctrinally until Paul got the revelation explaining it years later. The mystery that it could be available to become literally a spiritual son or daughter of God Almighty! To the Hebrew AND Gentile! A new classification of humans emerges (as far as God's concerned)... His church. His body of believers. The Church of God. Made up of Hebrews and gentiles that choose to believe The Messiah had come in the flesh, died and was raised from the dead. In the last day of Jesus' physical life in this realm he shares with his disciples to the best of his ability the upcoming new birth. The spiritual birth. Jesus knew something great was coming but didn't know (as it was hidden in God) the fullness of this "Grace Administration" in which we now live. No man knew the fullness of it until Paul got it by revelation.
For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the spirit;
That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel.
"...was not made known unto the sons of men." Jesus is a man. (Still is! Just "glorified!") He didn't know this mystery. Why was it such a mystery? It had to be!

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

In other words... the life and ministry of Jesus made it available to not only be spared from the wrath to come (the end days and judgement) but we are empowered in our time to kick Satan and all his posses' butts!
What power the children of God have... if we only knew it!!! God wants you to know! I want you to know! The more we know and apply in our lives individually and collectively the more damage we do to the devil spirit hierarchy whose only mission is to thwart God and rack and ruin this world! This is tremendous! Bigger than Christmas... and Santa even! Bigger than Easter and her pet bunny as there is no power in the crucifixion. Dying was part of the work set before the Promised One, the Messiah, yes. But! The power is in what was given on Pentecost! That it could be...
